Families learn what to expect in the first days and weeks of breastfeeding their newborn. This class covers basic concepts of breastfeeding, such as latching, positioning, challenges, and maintaining your milk supply while away from your baby. Breastfeeding is a very special journey for a new family and child. Like any new skill, breastfeeding will be more successful with early preparation by increasing your knowledge and confidence. Partners are encouraged to attend with you!
In order to continue providing quality educational programs, refunds will only be available for medical necessity. We are happy to apply the class fee to other classes if you need to reschedule.
Classes are subject to changes in fees, dates, and times.
Feel confident and prepared for your breastfeeding journey! Join us for an interactive class where you'll learn what to expect during the early days, how to achieve a comfortable latch, recognize feeding cues, build and protect your milk supply and navigate common breastfeeding challenges. Bring your questions - and your support person!
This is a 2-hour class that will be taught IN-PERSON at Alamance Regional Hospital on the 3rd floor.
