Programs for YOU and your BABY

From the first days of pregnancy to your little one’s first steps, Cone Health educators are here to help guide your way to a happy and healthy baby.

Classes taught by certified instructors are available on a variety of topics including childbirth, infant care, parenting, breastfeeding, infant CPR, and more.

  • Baby & Me (Women's)

    Enjoy this time to discuss newborn & infant parenting topics and family adjustment issues with other new mothers in a relaxed environment. Each week brings a new speaker or baby-centered activity. We encourage mothers and their babies (birth to crawling) to join us every Thursday in the Women's Hospital Education Center at 11:00am. You are welcome to visit this group even if you haven't delivered yet! It's wonderful to make new friends early and watch other moms interact with their babies. No registration or fee. WE ARE MOVING! Please note: We will not be having Baby & Me October 17-November 7 due to our move to our new facility. We are excited to see you Tuesday November 14, 2019 when we will meet in our new home at Cone Health Women's & Children Center at Moses Cone Hospital.

  • Big Brother/Big Sister (Women's)

    Let your children share in the joy of a new brother or sister in this special class designed just for them. This class is designed for children ages 2 to 6, but any age is welcome. Please register each child individually.

  • Breastfeeding Support Group (Women's)

    This group is a mother-to-mother support circle where moms have the opportunity to share their breastfeeding experiences. A Breastfeeding Support nurse is present for questions and concerns. Meets each Tuesday at 11:00am. No fee or registration. WE ARE MOVING! Please note: We will not be having Breastfeeding Support Group October 15-November 5 due to our move to our new facility. We are excited to see you Tuesday November 12, 2019 when we will meet in our new home at Cone Health Women's & Children Center at Moses Cone Hospital.

  • Breastfeeding Your Baby (Women's)

    Breastfeeding is a special time for mother and child. This class will help you feel ready to begin this important relationship. Your partner is encouraged to attend with you.

  • Caring for Baby (Women's)

    This class is for expectant and adoptive parents who want to learn and practice the most up-to-date newborn care for their babies. Register only the mom-to-be and your partner can plan to come with you. (*Note: This class is included in the Birth & Baby series and the Weekend Birth & Baby classes.)

  • Childbirth Option 1 Birth & Baby Series (Women's)

    This option of 3 weekly classes helps you and your labor partner prepare for childbirth at Women's Hospital. Newborn care, labor & birth, cesarean birth, pain management, and comfort techniques and a Maternity Care Center Tour of Women’s Hospital is included.

  • Childbirth Option 2 Weekend Birth & Baby (Women's)

    This class is a Weekend version of our Birth & Baby series. It is designed for parents who have a difficult time fitting several weeks of classes into their schedule. A tour of the Maternity Care Center is included with this class.

  • Childbirth Option 3 Natural Childbirth (Women's)

    This series of 5 weekly classes is for expectant parents who want to learn and practice natural methods of coping with the process of labor and childbirth. Maternity Care Center Tour of Women's Hospital is included.

  • Childbirth Option 4 Online Birth & Baby

    This online class offers you the freedom to complete a Birth and Baby series in the comfort of your own home. The flexibility of this option allows you to review sections at your own pace, at times convenient to you and your support people.

  • Comfort Techniques & Tour (Women's)

    This 2 hour interactive class will provide you the opportunity to learn & practice hands-on techniques with your partner that can help relieve some of the discomfort of labor and encourage your baby to rotate toward the best position for birth. A tour of the Women's Hospital Maternity Care Center is included.
